Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and former Institute of Culinary Education instructor and a TV presenter. She hosts The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, in her Food Network Series Secrets of a Restaurant Cook shows easy to master techniques as well as her distinctive blonde spiky locks. Chef Burrell has also worked at many of the best restaurants within New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy as well as competed on the Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for food and cooking at the age of. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stop for her when she finished with an Associate of Arts degree in English and Communication with a degree from Canisius College Buffalo NY. She says "I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a Culinary Institute Of America student. I loved every minute of it." I could not learn and do enough. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell went on to spend one year in Italy attending an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. Her understanding grew of Italian tradition and food during her stay in Italy which has had an impact on her style of cooking. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which improves children's lives who have obstacles and is also a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Ambassador where she promotes juvenile diabetes awareness. In her role as a speaker, Burrell is on the road to speak about her passion for food as well as her career in the culinary field. Anne has stated throughout her culinary career that she's grateful to communicate with people what is essential for her.
